Meet the founders

With nearly two decades of experience in the optical industry, Alicia Solomando has built a strong reputation for her deep understanding of the market and the needs of opticians. From her early days as a representative in Flanders to becoming Sales Manager, and later an independent agent for carefully selected brands, she has consistently combined commercial insight with a passion for premium eyewear. Her role as Brand Ambassador for Ray-Ban at Luxottica further refined her expertise in brand building, team motivation, 

and the creation of impactful in-store experiences.

Geoffrey Rosiers discovered the optical world through Alicia and initially joined her entrepreneurial journey in 2010. After exploring a different path, he returned to the industry in 2016 with the renowned brand LINDBERG, where he spent over seven years developing an exceptional level of technical expertise. His deep knowledge of materials, and product innovation has helped opticians 

elevate their positioning and embrace a more refined, design-driven approach.

Together, they founded Qima Eyewear in 2024, bringing a unique balance of commercial instinct, technical mastery, and market insight. 

What began with a focus on the Middle East from Dubai quickly evolved into a broader vision, 

reconnecting with the Benelux and shaping a distinctive, international presence.
